I recently lost a close friend to an overdose on heroin and it made me think about the larger picture at hand. Jim, who was a college athletic star, hurt his should his junior year at school. The doctor had prescribed him OxyContin to alleve his pain after the surgery. Jim ended up changing his social patterns. Instead of hanging out on weekends he stayed shacked up in his bedroom.
Three months later, Jim failed out of school and returned to his suburban town while the rest of us studied. I had heard through multiple sources and mutual friends that he now had a drug problem. I am no stranger to friends with drug problems and I want to let other people know what happens.
People were prescribed oxycontin in it’s hayday a few years back and it is basically a pill form of heroin that has very high addictive traits. Oxycontin became a problem for drug users, pharmacies, and makers. As a result, the procurement of the pills became harder and harder. It just turns out that the effects that users chase can be duplicated with another, readily available, cheap drug known as heroin.
Jim got hooked on heroin and could never kick the habit. He had been encouraged multiple times to enter a Residential Heroin Detox center without success. I wrote an article awhile back about Residential Intervention Centers and I suggest that you have your friends with issues read it. Heroin programs are as popular as a Inpatient Eating Disorders Treatment Program these days.

More and more people are getting tattoos these days. As a result, more and more people will have them removed at some point. One must consider the repercussions about the permanent mark before making the plunge. Laser beauty treatments have become much more affordable than in the past; however, the costs from the original ink and it’s removal can prove to be a costly mistake.
Laser skin treatments and their costs have made a lot of things possible for patients. Some people choose to remove skin defects caused by aging with Laser Skin Resurfacing techniques. It should be known though that these techniques can make skin surfaces smooth, but do not always have perfect visible results.
Laser Vein treatments are also becoming more accessible as the treatment becomes affordable and painless. The only known side effect of the treatment is to have skin rashes and irritation. Do your research if you have any of these problems, as the results and side effects differ from person to person.

I don’t know about other people, I but I sure have trouble sleeping in the Summer because of the heat. I constantly get night sweats and I am uncomfortable all night. This can really be a burden when I only average about 6 hours of sleep a night in the Summer. I have trouble sleeping without a comforter as well. I have researched the internet far and high to look for solutions but have yet to find a bed cooling system. However, I have found a product called a Bed Fan.
This product blows air through the sheets and is quite impressive. It has been known to help many more serious issues like menopause night sweats, cancer night sweats, and AIDS night sweats. I never really understood how serious of an issue night sweats were until I researched. As a result, if you are looking for relief from the heat at night, it seems that the best option out there is the bed fan.

Have you ever looked at a pill bottle and seen where the pills are produced. You are sure to realize that they come from the same place most of our IT is contracted to, India. These large pharmaceutical companies are not dumb and realize that their profits are much higher by having them produced overseas and sold here.
India has very strict laws for selling medications and you can save a lot of money by buying directly from companies over there. It may take 2-3 weeks to get your order; however, isn’t it worth saving 2-3 times the money. Meds India is one of the first online pharmacies and a good place to research prices there and here.

I wake up every morning and thank the lord above that he has given me another wonderful day. I believe that is a privilege to be alive and I treat my body very well as a result. The most important part of the day is breakfast. I typically take down a smoothie, healthy cereal bowl, and my supplements. I am not a big pill fan and I use a liquid supplement called Intramax.
I also need coffee to operate. I do not use high energy (high sugar) drinks but I will use a natural dietary supplement called Poly MVA. It is a natural energy burst that can make those long days go by faster. I typically take a dose and hit the gym and my morning run.
Another important aspect of the warm weather is to prepare yourself for exercise outdoors. I run in the morning and evening and always use a natural sunscreen. The sun is becoming stronger and we must protect against skin cancer.

We are remember the famous commercial “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.” However, elderly falls are serious issue for many of us dealing with our grandparent/parents. Part of our family duty is to care for our elder family members. We have to be ready to assist 24/7 for several years even decades. Elderly people tend to be prone to several diseases. These diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, can lead to great disorientation among our elders.
Many medical companies offer products for assisting in caring for them. We all know that a nursing home generally costs about ten thousand dollars a month and government coverage is lacking. As a result, it makes financial and family sense to care for their elders when possible. Many devices allow them to signal for help when necessary. However, not every medical alarm has the same capabilities. GPS and other options are now available at decent rates.

Everything I have ever known about smoking is that it’s very hard to quit. My father quit smoking cold turkey after ten plus years of doing it. As a result, I figured this was the best and only way to conquer. However, there has been multiple recent studies that suggest smoking is more of a chronic disease rather than a one-time fix.
These studies infer that smoking cessation actually requires years of intensive counseling for people trying to kick the habit. The study lasted 2 years and included seven hundred and fifty people whom smoked at least 10 cigarettes a day. The study concluded that the most effective was to quit smoking was constant counseling.
It is no secret that smoking is very ad for your health and others. The government is even taxing those who smoke at alarming rates. There is no better time than now to seek help and kick the habit to the curb.

Even though the economy and times are tough, do not neglect your exercise apparel. I recently started a basketball league and decided to utilize some classic Jordans as my sneakers. I did not want to pay for a new pair of sneakers, but that’s exactly what I did. The sneakers lacked the necessary lateral support. As a result, saving $50 ended up costing me about two days of work with a sprained ankle. The basic point is that you shouldn’t neglect your exercise gear. Your overall health has no price tag.
I shop for my exercise gear online because there is a large selection and I can read reviews about products. I recently purchased a pair of running shoes that were positively reviewed by a regular marathon runner. A novice runner like myself can utilize other people’s knowledge via the internet. I also used reader’s experiences to find the best running clothes for the Winter.

The start of the warm weather generally means the start of many of our workouts. We tend to over exert ourselves this time of year to catch up. The winter dormancy along with tax stress typically makes me more aggressive in the gym. Malnutrition and dehydration can become big problems during intense workouts. I want to give you some personal tips that help me get through my routines safely.
I begin before I even get to the gym. I like to use my blender to concoct some delicious, nutritious smoothies. I fill my blender bottle and head to the gym killing it along the way. This approach saves me a lot of time and who doesn’t need time? If i hit the gym in the evening, I generally make a super food drink with ingredients a little different from the breakfast. These drinks can be made specific to your taste buds.
The workout can be whatever you wish. I generally warm up on the treadmill for about ten minutes to get the blood flowing. After I break a sweat and feel increased heart beats, I do a 45 minute weight-lifting routine on two general muscle groups. I follow my weight routine with another 30 minute treadmill run. I always drink a natural protein shake after my workout to ensure fast muscle recovery.

It is very important to remain fit, especially when it is cold out. I know that Spring has finally arrive, so get outside and go for a run. They say that it takes two weeks to break a habit. After you smokers do that for two weeks, start a new fitness routine. Start the day out by going for a run around the neighborhood. Take the stairs when you get to work. Park your car as far away from the entrance as possible. This can also assist with those annoying door dings.
There are also a bunch of ways you can keep fit when bad weather strikes. Invest in a treadmill, elliptical, or stair climber for aerobic exercise. Buy a standard dumbbell sets and do a weekly weightlifting routine. The most important habit to change is your diet. Cut out the coffee and late night snacking to start. Afterwards, start paying attention to caloric intake and you are sure to see huge results in a few weeks. These small (30 Minutes), consistent workouts combined with proper diet will have you fit and sexy by Summer.

Do you need to get away? A great way to combine a vacation and sense of community to vacation to a place where you can volunteer your services. For example, if you are a carpenter, take a week to visit New Orleans and help rebuild and take in the city at night. There are plenty non-profit organizations out there that will plan the whole thing so it won’t be a logistics nightmare.

One of the worst things you can do is skip meals. I grew up with the notion that you weren’t manly if you can’t work through lunch. This option is also very bad for losing weight. Chances are that you will become so hungry that when you finally decide to eat you will divulge in too much and almost anything. Eat breakfast and every 4-5 hours. Prepare meals the night before if your days are busy.

According to the USDA, Americans take in more than twice the maximum recommended limit of 40 grams of added sugar per day. To reduce this intake, limit the amount of candy and soda you eat, as well as the amount of sugar you put in your coffee per day.
Also, beware of sauces when you are out to eat. Condiments such as ketchup, relish, BBQ sauce, hot sauce and salad dressings can sometimes get more than half of their calories from added sugar. Don’t give them up completely; just ask for them on the side when you order!

If you are trying to lose weight, you must take the problem into your own hands and eliminate eating out. Eating out is bad for diets because the foods typically contain tons of calories. It is no secret that chefs overload salt, sugar, and fats to please you. If you do choose to eat out, drink water, refuse bread, and choose an entree that is grilled or broiled.

There are a lot of benefits to buy local foods. First of all, local foods do not pollute the environment as much because shipping is not always necessary. Less car pollution and natural resource usage. In addition, vegetables and food products grown locally are more likely to require less water and pesticides to survive. As a result, you are saving both the environment and your body.
